A glimpse into the fun, confidence, and progress our swimmers experience every week
This experience from one of our swimmers demonstrates just how important water safety skills are, and why swimming lessons go beyond learning strokes.
Swimming doesn’t always happen in familiar surroundings. Holidays, busy pools and new environments can bring different challenges, and children may find themselves in situations they haven’t experienced before.
That’s why we teach more than just swimming strokes. Learning how to float, recognise when they’re tired and call for help are all important water safety skills that children can draw on when things don’t go to plan.
We can’t prepare children for every situation, but we can help them build the skills to respond.
Children have a special talent for following instructions EXACTLY as you said them… not how you meant them. 😂😭
And swimming lessons are no exception! 💦
Never underestimate a child’s ability to take absolutely everything literally.
Parents, we KNOW this happens at home too. 😂

Some of us glide through the water like dolphins… others look like we’re fighting for our lives. 😂
Now it’s YOUR turn!
👇 Be honest, what stage would YOU put yourself in?
And tag that friend who thinks they’re Olympic material. 🥇👀
